About Us

What kind of church?

We are an independent bod of believers. We are not a part of a denomination and we have no parent organization. We are simply a group of Christians who strive to practice the Word of God as honestly as possible. We don't claim to be the only Christians, but want to be Christians only.

In the early 1800's, there were people in many major denominations who were growing weary of religious divisions and the restrictions placed on them by denominational hierarchies. They began searching for unity and came to several points of agreement.

1. To wear the name of Christ, simply claiming to be Christians.

2. To take the Bible as our soul authority and Christ as our only creed.

3. To seek Christian unity wherever it could be found.

So many believers began joining this movement, called the Restoration Movement, that it spread like wildfire across the frontier of America. They began dropping their denominational name and simply called themselves Christians. They put aside their historical “positions and papers” and began studying the Bible. In doing so they began to strive to live Biblically as they patterned both their individual and corporate lives after the Word of God.

Today, thousands of independent Christian Churches exist all over the world. We are just a small part of that movement.
